The largest drawback involved with gas power generators is that they should be installed outside, away from windows, doors and well-ventilated due to carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide harmful to health and can kill a person. It is recommended to install a gas power generator at least ten feet away from the main house or building.
The second largest drawback is that gasoline has a short shelf life, you cannot keep gasoline for a long period of time due to its inability to keep fresh and it loses it’s fuel components. A person must continually resupply gasoline at least every month to ensure freshness, or buy it on demand when needed.
